An established engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Engineering Surveyor / Project Engineer to support its growing industrial client base across the UK.
This is a home based role with regular travel across the South, South East and London, along with occasional nationwide assignments. The position involves conducting site surveys, preparing formal compliance documentation and carrying out inspection and testing of industrial mechanical systems in line with current regulations and best practice.
Annual travel is approximately 30,000 miles and the role may include overnight stays depending on project requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct site based engineering inspections and surveys
- Prepare and manage compliance documentation and examination schedules
- Produce clear electronic reports and technical documentation
- Identify deficiencies and provide practical recommendations
- Advise clients on safe system design and operation
- Work in line with health and safety legislation and site procedures
- Maintain company equipment and uphold professional standards
About you
- Registered EngTech, IEng or CEng
- Strong experience in inspection and compliance of industrial systems
- Good knowledge of relevant engineering legislation and codes of practice
- Self motivated with excellent client facing communication skills
- IT literate and confident using Microsoft Office
- Able to obtain security clearance where required
- Full UK driving licence (max 3 points)
