Our client, a professional organisation located in High Wycombe, is seeking a part-time Purchase Ledger Clerk to support financial operations across several business units. This role is ideal for someone with experience in purchase ledger or accounts payable who is comfortable working with Sage accounting software and managing diverse financial tasks. The position involves working four days per week, from 09:00 to 15:00, focusing on accurate invoice processing, payment management, and financial reporting.
This permanent role offers a salary of £20,300 per annum for 24 hours of work each week. The working pattern provides consistency and the opportunity to contribute to a well-structured finance team.
Hours and Days – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9-3pm
Responsibilities:
- Manage purchase ledger tasks including prompt and accurate invoice processing and coding
- Process payments for utilities and arrange occasional payments as necessary
- Review supplier invoices to assess recharge eligibility
- Raise inter-company invoices and manage invoicing and cash collection for a key client
- Enter weekly expenses and coordinate periodic tax payments
- Prepare financial statements and cash flow forecasts
- Communicate confidently and proactively across multiple business units
Experience required:
- Proven experience in purchase ledger or accounts payable roles
- Proficiency with Sage accounting software
- Knowledge of financial systems and accounting software
- Competence in spreadsheet and word processing software
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to handle responsibilities across multiple business units
- Effective and confident communication skills to liaise with colleagues and suppliers
